For sale is a well-built Hohner model ST-59, made in Korea circa 1990s.

A very well-used guitar with a fair amount of cosmetic damage, mainly to the body.

It is however working and holds what Hohner deemed an 'ATN' (Advanced Tonal Network) circuit, essentially meaning that rather than the 3 pots acting like a straight Strat circuit, they can be rolled on / off half way in various combinations to get a 'Tellyfying', 'Humbucking', 'G Sound', 'Jazz Semi Acoustic' and 'Acoustic' sound. If you search online, you can find a diagram explaining this.

The Blue/Greenburst finish is quite nice, novel for the period from a Korean factory guitar.

The hardware is all gold, again a nice touch. The neck is maple and the fingerboard a nice dark rosewood which was still in use at the time.

Clearly somewhat modelled on a 59 style Strat, though naturally has slightly pointy dimensions owing to being a Hohner model.

As above, there are plenty of dings, scrapes and wear to the finish - though I've noted nothing in the way of breaks and it appears to be largely original.

I've given it a restring, clean and basic setup and it's a nice playing and sounding guitar - very nice hardware and good factory electronics means it's definitely a step up from a basic Squier equivalent, etc.

It would probably make a good gigging guitar and is surprisingly versatile. I don't believe many of these were made, or they were produced for a limited period only.

The only one I've seen was priced at around £200 - I'm asking half of that, owing to the condition.
