A nice Gibson SG Standard model, dating from 2016.

2016 was a better year for Gibson, having scrapped some of the lesser-favoured specs of 2015 (robotic tuners as standard, metallic anniversary stickers to the back of the headstock, etc) and saw something of a return to their former glory.

This is a classic no-nonsense SG Standard - 2x stock Gibson 490R/498T Humbuckers (with Quick Connect), Nashville Tune-O-Matic bridge and full width pickguard for a great late-60s look. 

Features a great 'Slimtaper' neck profile - one of favourites, full and slinky while tapering fatter up to the 12th fret.

This is very much a played-in/gigged guitar, but is free of any breaks or repairs. Loads of authentic patina including marks, dings and some scrapes to the sides (pictured). The finish is the original gloss Cherry Red, with has naturally worn down to a matte look in areas concurrent with extensive playing. It features numerous dings, marks and scrapes - all of which contribute to an authentic 'worn in' look which I feel makes the guitar appear older than it is. All original save for the back cover plate screws. 

The frets have been levelled, crowned and polished where necessary and it is set up, playing very nicely. 

It comes with what I believe to be the original or at least a contemporary soft case (pictured).

A classic full-fat Gibson from a good year, lightweight with a huge sound.
