Fender AVRI (American Vintage Reissue) limited '64 Jazz Bass with matching headstock in Lake Placid Blue, dating from 2013 (USA).
Basses from this limited run were built exceptionally faithfully to the original design of a 1964 Fender Jazz Bass, featuring a slimmer neck profile, gorgeous super thin nitro finish and even clay dots atop of a dark rosewood fingerboard. Particularly attractive is the matching headstock, accordingly finished in Lake Placid Blue.
They were further paired with period correct G&G cases - in this instance, the very rare 'blonde' variant. Atop of this, they recreated the case candy as if one was buying the bass new in '64.
This one is in excellent condition, pretty much untouched - very well looked after and seldom played. The super thin nitro finish has started to age with minor checking (they were designed to do this - as with an original '64) and there is the tiniest instance of play wear to the back (pictured) - though again, this is owing to the period correct finish more than use.
