Beautiful Les Paul Standard model, dating from 2003 (made in USA).

A fantastic example of a Standard Les Paul, dating from a period before Gibson started putting robot tuners, push/pull pots etc - just a full fat, USA-made Gibson Les Paul Standard.
I believe these models were factory weight-relieved/chambered - meaning that this Les Paul weighs a mere 8.9lbs.

Paired with a classic 60s neck profile, it's a joy to play.

The pencil marks to the pickup cavity include a '+', which common to popular belief doesn't denote a 'Plus' model, rather it refers to the guitar's (beautiful) AA flamed maple top. 2003 models were not fitted with a pickguard, meaning the beautiful flamed top is on full display.
It is all original, save for added knob 'pointers' (to be more like a 50s/ 60s model - originals included) and Orange Sprague caps, meaning the tone can be rolled off like a vintage Les Paul, SG etc.

The pickups are factory-fitted Gibson Burstbucker Vs (now referred to as Burstbucker 'Pros') which have a great PAF-like characteristic and offer authentic vintage tones paired with the vintage-style Sprague caps.

As above, this models holds the 60s neck profile, meaning it's slim and fast playing but with a wide nut and really suits the feel of the guitar.

In good used condition - not mint, but free of breaks, repairs or issues. There are some dings owing from playing wear across the body and neck which I've tried to capture, but there is no serious damage, splits, cracks or any unsightly paint damage.

It comes complete with its original Gibson-branded hard shell case, as pictured (fully working, with some tarnishing to metal parts.

A fantastic Les Paul Standard with a great lightweight body, wonderful hardware and a killer AA flamed maple top. Significantly better specs than a 'modern' Les Paul Standard - and but a fraction of the price. A superior build quality, too (in my opinion!).
