For sale is a 1982 Gibson super limited run Flying V 'CMT', which stands for 'Curly Maple Top', reflecting the beautiful tops used on these.

These were designated as high end models and no expense was spared in their construction, featuring a CM top as above alongside a bound body and Ebony fingerboard. Further, originating from 1982 (the period at which Gibson are broadly considered to have hit their stride again following the 70s) it naturally benefits from the newly-reintroduced wider nut profile, big neck and of course - no volute.

I have split this one for parts, hopefully opening it up to someone for a custom guitar project - pop your own pickups/hardware on and you're ready to go.

The guitar is free of breaks, repairs or any issues and retains its factory T Sunburst finish. There is natural wear to said finish - namely in the form of buckle rash to the back (pictured).

The neck is a beautiful 3 piece, again with the '82 profile making it very playable.

It comes as pictured, free of any hardware or electronics - case included.

A full-fat Gibson with some rather desirable appointments and fantastic basis for an 80s Flying V project.
