For sale is about the cleanest example of one of these I've seen - a 1974 WEM MK III Dominator, made in England.

These amps were recently revealed to have been Noel Gallagher's go-to during the early Oasis years and while recording Definitely Maybe. I have felt that these period WEM amps have been greatly underrated for quite a while - to me, they are as good as any 60s Fender, Gibson or any other big name amp - but without the huge price tag. They drive beautifully, are relatively lightweight and were all hand made in England by a small team. This of course never belonged to Noel, though would've been constructed side-by-side by his own amp at WEM headquarters.

As above, this one is exceedingly well looked-after and comes with its original cover (a rarity) and even the original schematic for the benefit of wiring, servicing etc.

Wholly unmodified save for a (period) jack-out (discretely accessed at the back), meaning that it can be paired with an attenuator to experience the beautiful drive sound at a domestic volume.

As with all amps I come across, I took this to Martin at Coopersonic for a fully service for the benefit of electrical safety etc. This revealed the amp to still be in possession of its original Mullards and to be electronically complete and not meddled with. Martin noted 2 leaky caps which were replaced and added a new plug for safety.

It is incredibly clean cosmetically, with little at all in the way of wear and its beautiful weave facade is wholly in tact. As above, it even includes its original WEM-branded cover, which are becoming harder and harder to find.

A solid, relatively lightweight amp with a fantastic sound. Fully-serviced and ready to go.

I am willing to post this, though please allow a couple of days for me to secure a suitably-sized box - which I will pack very well. Alternatively, collection from Nottingham is very welcome.
