For sale is a lovely and elusive master-built 'Concert' guitar by esteemed luthier, Siegfried Todt.
Hand-signed by the man himself to the label, hand-dated 1972 (as such, one of the earlier models, as most I've seen appear to be early-mid 80s).
From what research I've done, Todt produced guitars out of Markneukirchen in the then-GDR region during the 1970s-80s.
Built to an excellent standard of solid woods, with some very East German hallmarks such as the heel, chunky neck volute and what seems to be a 5-piece neck.
This one has a fair few stabilised cracks to the back and table (as pictured) and as such is very much a 'player grade' instrument, though despite this it appears to be all original.
This includes what I believe to be the original case, which is snug-fitting, orange lined and holds the guitar well despite a few of the latches missing their catches.
Comfortable action, with room on the saddle to go down should you desire.
Sounds very nice and feels like a quality instrument, using some very decent solid woods.
