A beautiful Giannini model AW6N, made in Brazil and dating from circa 1970s-80s.

A rare and excellently built small-bodied guitar produced by lesser-known Brazilian builders Giannini, who produced small quantities of classical and steel strung guitars from the middle half of the 20th century.

Although this may appear to look like a parlour owing to its dimensions, it's actually a 3/4 scale classical.

It is in excellent shape for its age, all original and free of any nasty breaks, repairs or otherwise. It has some minor signs of use in the form of minor finish marks and age related tarnishing to the hardware. The most notable wear is to the back of the headstock, having rubbed against a snug case for many years.

Plays very nicely, with the smaller body producing a warm tone owing to being constructed of high quality solid Brazilian timbers. Notably, I believe the back is Brazilian rosewood - which was naturally available to Giannini, being a Brazilian company. It has a beautiful grain pattern - see photos for reference.

Also notable is the ornate carved headstock, which Giannini featured on higher-end models. A really nice touch!

All in all, a unique and beautifully crafted small bodied classical made of excellent materials.

No case, but will be well-packed for transit.
