For sale is an original vintage Fender 'Monogram' strap, dating from circa late 60s-early 70s.
 
These straps were supplied as standard with Fender guitars - I believe the earliest guitars to come with this strap start from 1969, ending production somewhere around the mid-70s. These straps are distinguished from their later cheaper variants by using all metal (brass) fixtures, with CBS eventually phasing this out in favour of cost-cutting (later straps have plastic fixtures). 
 
The earliest of these straps feature the Fender 'monogram' oriented horizontally. This is one such example with all of the abovementioned features, placing its date of manufacture to around 1969-75 (impossible to date specifically - straps don't have serial numbers!).
 
This example is in mint condition and has been stored/unused for at least 5 decades. It is as such free of fraying, breaks or tears and even retains a nice lustre to the brass parts (many corrode/tarnish badly over time - this one hasn't).
 
It would make a great addition to a 70s Strat, or even a 1969 (if you're lucky enough to have one).
