For sale is a really cool Framus 5/150 'Stone Bass', produced as a signature model for Bill Wyman during the 1960s. As such, it features the typical 'snooker cue', super slim neck profile on nut width which these basses are desirable for.

It is pretty much all complete and original, save for the odd replaced screw and 1x tuner ferrule, which is a repro part. However, it has some playing issues and as such is being sold for spares/repair.

These models were being finished in heavy poly lacquer by 1969 (in the same manner as other Euro builders, such as Eko) and as such is has some heavy checking as pictured, though no breaks or structural issues.

Current issues include: the neck angle has been attended to with a shim, but the strings hit the lead pickup further up the board, as it currently sits significantly higher than the neck pickup. This could probably be attended to by lowering the lead pickup by removing the factory pickup shim ‘feet’ on which it is currently sat. While the electronics are all present and ‘working’, the pots are all very stiff and will need removing / lubricating at the very least. The screws affixing the tailpiece are protruding slightly and will need removing / re-drilling or likely replacing. It will naturally need setting up etc, once complete. So, it is fixable with some work, or potentially useful to someone for parts, etc.
