Hofner Senator Bass, made in Germany circa 1964.
A beautiful example, purchased from Selmer (London) and paired with its original Selmer fitted tweed hard case.
Previously owned by a working musician who I believe purchased it new and played many a gig with it. It's developed a beautiful authentic patina, namely below the low E where string where the previous owner would rest their picking hand.
All original, save for the odd screw! It's had a (much needed, as with many Hofners) neck reset and as such is playing fantastically with a comfortable action.
Specs:

Condition:
In great condition for a 61 year old guitar. Well used, but free of any breaks, cracks or repairs and just about all-original. Neck is straight and playing well. An excellent sound from the lone Hofner pickup, which I believe was the same unit used on Violin basses of the same period. The original case is well-worn but complements the bass beautifully. The handle has come loose, but it is a rare find in its own right and protects the guitar well.
Modifications/repairs:
Discretely performed neck reset, 1x gearhead and screw replaced on G tuner. Pickguard removed very early on in its life (as is the case with most of these models).
Accessories:
Original Selmer-supplied tweed hard case.
