For sale is an original Ess & Ess Gibson hard case, to fit J45/J50 dreadnaught guitars and is also a perfect fit for an ES-175.
I've identified this as a Ess & Ess, rather than Lifton/Victoria Luggage owing to the uniform latches and single spring-loaded central latch, and I'm dating it to around 1961-63 as it features the 'small grain' tolex and orange lining combination, which is unique to this period.
These are quite rare to find on their own as they're often paired with their original guitars, or have often deteriorated. This one, while the tolex is clearly well-worn, is structurally stable, retains all of its latches which are fully-functional - as well as its handle and all of its metal stud 'feet'.
Orange lining is relatively clean and in tact, as is the small portion of orange fabric which holds the case 'open'. 
As can be seen, some of the tolex is peeling away and the sides have taken many scuffs over the years, but again it is in tact and working as it should. There is no inner-label, though many of these were made without one.
I feel this is clearly of value to someone with a same-period Gibson J45, or an ES-175 that's missing its original case. It certainly looks the part and would pair perfectly with a guitar of a similar vintage.
